Entry #1

5/21/2019

Earlier this year, Dayna and I made the decision to change our winery name to True Believer Wines. Our intention in making this change is to highlight the very backbone of this special entity that has added so much to our lives: True Believer. We have come to understand that this brand we’ve created is bigger than ourselves. As more people join our extended True Believer family, we choose to sublimate our own identities for the identity of these wines.
We have met so many wonderful and open-hearted people through the prism of this small wine brand. We are humbled by the number of strangers, who, through the sharing of these True Believer wines, have become friends. Whether we’re meeting up with new friends on the road, or receiving them in our home, it’s no doubt that it’s the wines themselves, our four True Believer offerings, have make this conviviality and community possible.

In this small journal, I’ll be writing about some of our new friends and about winemakers and farmers we have met, and continue to meet, during our travels and at our homestead.

We invite you to join us on our True Believer journey, which will be occasionally reported upon here. Next up: a chat with one of my wine mentors and a snapshot of the upcoming 2019 vintage.
